Using an Arduino, we programmed 6 servo motors to turn according to a reading received from an Utrasound Sensor, so that as a person moves closer to the Flower, the servo motor turns causing the flowers to open up and to close as the person moves away. Hidden in the middle of the flower petals, is a ring of LEDs that light up once the flowers petals are fully open. 

 

This plays on the feeling of trust, reciprocating human relationships, where generally, as people get closer, they tend to open up to each other, revealing their inner parts.
